Anyway, yesterday was her 6 month check up, and the doctor asked how she was sleeping at night (not at all, essentially). He told me that I should be feeding her the bulk of her solid food just prior to bedtime, a lot more particularly, just prior to when I want her to go to bed.

This does not seem right to me. Somehow, forcing her to stuff her face with solids and then sending her to bed does not appeal to me. I didn’t get a chance to try it out last night, hesitant as I was, since she fell asleep 5 minutes following she was dried off from her bath. Quite rare!

So do you think that this is some thing I really should be performing? I do not trust his judgment too much however, because when she was 2 months old he said she was constipated (in a breastfed baby? I do not think so!), and that to relieve it I needed to give her corn syrup water (uh, HELLO, risk of botulism!). Impossible to switch doctors as there is a physician shortage in my region, *I* don’t even have a physician myself.

So what do you feel of his “advice”? To stuff her face, or not to stuff?
Just to add, I think this doctor treated the dinosaurs. He was my husband’s doctor when he was a baby, too! His approaches are a little outdated!
