Interference by religious zealots did not avoid celebrated British conductor Sir Edward Thomas Downes, CBE, 85, and his wife, Joan, 74, from roving to Switzerland to die. According to the proclamation from their loved ones, the link died peacefully, and below circumstances of their own picking.
“Our father, who was 85 being ancient, practically blind and increasingly deaf, had a lengthy, vigorous and distinguished career as a conductor. After 54 lucky being collectively, they resolute to end their own lives rather than continue to struggle including serious health harms”.
