I am entering college in the fall and I am majoring in the medical field. I would appreciate if you could tell me the top jobs that are available in the medical field. Ex. Jobs that will be available in abundance in the future that will always be needed, and the highest paying jobs. It would also be great if you told me how much each job pays on the average in the U.S.

I’m thinking of starting out a respiratory therapist because it looks like it could be good preparation to be an E.R. Physician, and i can make good money in advance. But would i have the time to do the all the prerequisites before med school, and then the time to go to medical school?

I am currenty in high school, and plan on entering the medical field. Although I have considered becoming a doctor, surgeon, etc., these choices seem too “boring”. I would rather be working to find new cures for cancer, AIDS, or other types of medical disorders and working to advance medical science.
I’m not sure what type of degree I should pursue in college, and what path of study I should pursue in medical school. Any suggestions would be great.

I am thinking of going to school for Medical Assisting or Billing & Coding since the programs are relatively short, gain experience in a medical setting and then go back to school for sonography. Is this the best route to take without college credits or should I take another trade to reach my goal in sonography? I am changing careers
